Yesterday I brought over some supplies to my friends’ house and we made some cards! I decided to use up the pre-stamped images I had from the previous post (Good Feelings Sweet Sorbet Sympathy Card) and we made the same design using the other In Colors. I wanted to also include a project with a more difficult technique, so I decided to make a simple card with a heat-embossed element.

The Party Puffins card uses the largest circle and the largest banner dies from the Stylish Shapes dies set, and we chose whichever puffin and greeting we wanted. The greeting was then embossed using Versamark and Black Embossing Powder. The Stampin’ Blends worked well for coloring in feet and beaks (when the images are stamped using Memento ink.)

This week I also moved back into school and finished setting up my room; I built this shelf (which was difficult 1) alone 2) without the proper tools and 3) while sweating profusely), but it works well for my storage bins (from Target and Costco) and other supplies.
Today I am going to work on my August Paper Pumpkin Kit while my shift in the mailroom is slow. I am really excited to make this kit (overview here!) I love the designs as a nice transition from summer to fall weather here in the Northern Hemisphere.
Sale-a-Bration Almost Over!
Sale-a-Bration ends 31 August, so make sure to get your orders in before it ends so you can take advantage of the awesome gifts that come with $50 or $100 order increments! I really like the Silver and Gold 6×6 DSP, so that’s what I have chosen as my extra gifts outside of the stamps and dies.
You can also earn EGoodies with your order, so make sure to use the August Host Code* and track them on the sheet found here!
