I signed up for 4 swap groups this round, which was a lot of work while also finishing up coursework and taking final exams! This swap uses Love for You bundle in the Mini Catalog, which I came up with this design, wanting to include the Pool Party ribbon and a design of Designer Series Paper, of which I used the Sale-a-Bration Dainty Flowers DSP.
I used my Cut & Emboss machine a lot when making my swaps, which was rather difficult when working at my desk in my dorm, thankfully I also have the Mini Cut & Emboss machine which was much easier to maneuver in the small space. It also made it easier to keep my dies in place which I did with a bit of scotch tape to keep my margins even (remember, stamp then cut!). I was also able to use some of the extra Mossy Meadow layers from the Thanks a Bunch card to add some unique layering.
With Sale-a-Bration going on right now, it’s the perfect time to score a Mini Cut & Emboss machine (in one of our future In Colors) for effectively $30 (down from $63) when joining my team of Stampologists! See below for more information about the special for joining Stampin’ Up!
The DSP squares are 4″ by 4″ which allows for 9 squares to be cut from one sheet of 12″ by 12″ DSP. Another trick is to tie the bow while it is still attached to the spool so you don’t accidentally cut it too short or have too much extra ribbon in the bow.
